Using Tabruns

Using another tab as context

How to say “reply using the details in my other tab”.

The ✛ under the message box adds an open tab as read-only context. Use it for asks that need material from somewhere else:

  • “Fill this in based on my other tab”
  • “Draft a reply using the details in the booking confirmation”

What travels, and what does not

The page being acted on travels as controls — what kind each one is, what it is called, whether it is required. A tab added as context travels differently: as prose, meaning its title, description, headings and opening paragraphs. That is the difference between a page you are filling and a page you are reading from, and a list of the second page's buttons would supply nothing useful.

It is read-only

Tabruns never acts on an attached tab. It reads it to get values, and acts only on the tab in front of you.

Attaching more than one extra tab is a Pro feature. The current tab is always free.
