A PDF won't load or map
Files the extension cannot reach, and forms it cannot read.
“Couldn’t download the open PDF — attach it instead.”
Why: The PDF is displayed by a viewer the extension cannot fetch the file from.
Fix: Use the viewer's download button to save it, then attach the saved file.
“Couldn’t read that PDF — it may be corrupted or protected.”
Why: The file is password-protected, permission-restricted, or malformed.
Fix: Remove the protection or re-export the PDF, then try again.
“Couldn’t map that onto the form — try describing the details differently.”
Why: The details given could not be matched to the fields found in the document.
Fix: Name the fields the way the form names them — “Surname”, “Date of birth” — rather than describing them generally.
Nothing happens on a PDF at all
Why: The document has no form fields. A scanned page is a picture of a form, not a form.
Fix: Nothing to fill. A flattened or scanned PDF has to be filled by hand or re-created as a real form.
